My purpose for making Pura Simple skin care products is to soothe, bring beauty, and be easy on the planet.
It began with the formulation of a body wash with organic Lime and Sandalwood essential oils and went on to include moisturizing hand and body creams and a hydrating facial cream called Grace in the Day. The products are natural, clean, pH balanced, vegan, sulfate free, phthalate free, petroleum free, and up to 75% organic. The scents are fresh and pure.
The Body Washes are deeply cleansing, moisturizing, deodorizing, and gently exfoliating. They rinse clean, add a thin layer of jojoba and sweet almond oil to your moisture barrier, and do not cause slipping in the shower. The main ingredients are organic aloe leaf, vegetable glycerin, and organic essential oils.
The Moisturizing Creams are nutrient dense with vitamins A, B, C, D, and E from essential fatty acid oils and are softening, soothing, hydrating, protective, and uplifting. They quickly absorb into your skin, lock in moisture, condition, and tone.
The Peppermint Lavender soothes dryness and itchiness and from increased circulation relaxes muscle tension, spasms and cramps. The Rose, Bergamot and Sandalwood softens, plumps, conditions, and works to tighten fine lines. The Sandalwood is the most hydrating of all the creams, supports wound healing, and is ideal for the hands, body and face. All three creams are joyful, calming, and restorative.
The Grace Facial Creams feature Lavender, Frankincense and Sandalwood. Lavender is soothing, anti-inflammatory, and promotes restful sleep. Frankincense is conditioning and brings clarity to the skin. Sandalwood is a perfect hydrating oil for mature skin. Grace in the Day is light, creamy, and hydrating while Grace in the Night is rich and locks in moisture. Both are hydrating, conditioning, and protect one’s moisture barrier though in varying proportions to meet different skin needs.

The essential oils used are sustainably grown and harvested, packaging is minimal with 100% recyclable containers filled w/ biodegradable sorghum starch peanuts, and delivery is carbon-neutral.
I love going to work, and I love working w/ essential oils, they are powerhouses found in nature that do double and triple duty. They are highly concentrated from plants and trees and contain many properties that support a healthy appearance and promote well-being naturally. The amount of essential oils in the formulas ranges from .29% to 1.28%, strong enough to be clearly distinguishable but not so much to irritate or overwhelm. For best results, apply to slightly damp skin and store in a cool dry place away from direct light.
